Option 1: WOM – World of Mind (60–90 min)

Illusions XXL at Tour & Taxis: open every day during the holidays, Tue-Sun outside holidays (10am–6pm). Reservation recommended on weekends/holidays.

Option 2: Museum of Illusions (45–60 min)

Compact format in the centre: open 7 days a week, 10 a.m.–6 p.m., last admission 5 p.m. Perfect between two walks.

➔ Comic strip fresco tour (45–60 min)

Around the Grand-Place and Sainte-Catherine, follow the comic strip walls for a selfie hunt: Tintin, Smurfs, Spirou… It’s free and motivates you to walk.

➔ Ursulines Skatepark (20–30 min)

Under the Palais de Justice, central urban spot for skateboards/scooters. Ride break while you shoot the view of Brussels from Place Poelaert.

Museum of Illusions (45–90 min)

Choose Museum of Illusions (center) or WOM (Tour & Taxis) depending on the weather and your timing. Book for weekends/holidays.

The European Parliament Visitor Centre : audio guides in 24 languages, modern scenography, free admission. Perfect for teenagers curious about news/Europe.

The House of European History, in the heart of the European Quarter, offers an immersive journey that connects major events with everyday stories, with modern scenography and interactive media. Free museum, multi-language tour (24 languages), very visual.

➔ Ferris wheel “The View” – Place Poelaert (10–15 min)

55 m, panorama of the whole city. In general 11am–10/11pm depending on the season. Perfect spot at sunset.

➔ Maison Antoine – Place Jourdan

The cult chip shop in Brussels: cone + Andalusian/samurai sauce… Friendly atmosphere on the square to debrief the day.

  • Contactless STIB : validate with your bank/phone card, day limit €8.40 (beyond that, it’s free on the same day). Convenient for a day jumping from tram to metro.

– Is the wheel open all year round?

Yes, in principle, every day (indicative hours 11 a.m.–10 p.m./11 p.m.). Check the page of the day before you go up.

Should we speak NL/EN?

No: Parlamentarium and House of European History exist in 24 languages and many of the activities are visual.

– What if we don’t like illusions?

Replace with Autoworld (iconic cars) or Train World (giant locomotives).

– Skateboard/scooter: can we?

At the Skatepark des Ursulines : yes, it’s a central urban spot. Bring helmet and protection ; Plan 20–30 minutes of “riding” before the rest.

– Are the shops open on Sundays?

The centre is quieter on Sundays, but several districts and shops remain open (Marolles, tourist areas around the Grand-Place).
