The Museum of Musical Instruments (MIM) can be visited like a great sound walk. We move forward in stages, we observe the shapes, the materials, the details, then we listen to what these instruments say. The visit works very well with the family, because it is rhythmic, visual, and you can stop often without “breaking” the route.
The museum is housed in the old Old England building, in the middle of the Mont des Arts. The whole thing has a “big city, great culture” side, but the visit remains easy to get to grips with, even if you don’t know anything about music.
