Details of the Atomium in Brussels.

Atomium: icon of Brussels

The Atomium is one of the most emblematic symbols of Brussels. Built in 1958 for the World Expo (Expo 58), it represents an iron molecule magnified 165 billion times.

Inside, you will discover a route combining art, design and science, with temporary and permanent exhibitions, including one on the futuristic dream of the 50s.

The upper sphere offers a spectacular panoramic view of Brussels and its surroundings.

We love it

  • A science fiction journey : Tubes become tunnels of light; In some, 35 m escalators immerse the family in “space” audio-visual effects. 1 – A science fiction journey
  • Mini investigation in the spheres : The booklet “Explorer’s Guide” makes you look for clues between the 50’s exhibition and the panoramic terrace; Reward: Collector’s stamp in the shop.
