Tulips, hyacinths, daffodils and maze
April 3 to May 3, 2026

Ready for a real “spring” interlude?
Floralia Brussels opens the doors of the private park of Groot-Bijgaarden Castle for a walk in the middle of the flowerbeds in bloom. We come for the carpets of flowers, the tulips as far as the eye can see, the colours that change according to the area… and this feeling of being elsewhere, a few minutes from Brussels.
It’s an outing that works very well with the family: you walk without a “culture” objective, you take your time, you stop often, and the visit remains easy to manage even if you only plan 1h30 on site
Floralia in 4 points
- A castle park accessible to all ages : people come with their families, as a couple, or with grandparents.
- Millions of bulbs : tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, with areas that do not all bloom at the same time.
- A colorful maze and some signature “spots”, including the heart of red tulips mentioned in the description.
- A modular visit : you walk at your own pace, without a set route.
Why do children love it?
- Because they are in the concrete: colors, shapes, maze, and identification of “favorite corners”.
- Because the walk happens naturally: you move forward, you stop, you leave, without holding a “serious” visit.
- Because it’s an exit where you can walk without realizing it, especially if you’re playing “who spots the next most colorful area”.
The team’s opinion
Floralia is the kind of “zero friction” exit that feels good: you arrive, you walk, and that’s enough. It’s also a great idea if you’re looking for a real spring setting without going far, and if you want an activity that appeals to several ages at the same time.
The best use is to aim for a slot that is not too late to enjoy the colors in the right light, then to keep a margin for a snack on the way back.
