The Flower Carpet
A Sound and Light show!
The famous Flower Carpet returns to the Grand-Place for a twenty-fourth edition dedicated to Japan.
Hokusai’s Great Wave of Kanagawa will be reinterpreted using more than 500,000 dahlias.
The installation will measure 70 by 24 metres and can be admired free of charge from the Grand-Place or from the balcony of the City Hall with a specific ticket.

For the return of the Flower Carpet to the Grand Place in Brussels, Le Roy d’Espagne is offering a special experience: admire this huge floral fresco from one of the most emblematic buildings on the square, while enjoying a gourmet formula adapted to the time of day.
From breakfast to panoramic dinner, the experience allows you to experience the Flower Carpet in a different way, far from the hustle and bustle of the crowds. Depending on the formula chosen, you can enjoy a direct or indirect view of the Grand Place, with the very special atmosphere of this Brussels event that lasts only a few days.
This 2026 edition puts Japan in the spotlight, with a floral fresco designed around harmony, precision and poetry.
