Three days entirely dedicated to board games at The EGG Brussels

Brussels Games Festival
From Friday 28 to Sunday 30 August 2026, the Brussels Games Festival returns to The EGG Brussels, in Anderlecht, for its 11th edition. Presented as the largest board game festival in Belgium, the BGF brings together beginner players, families, enthusiasts, publishers, authors and associations around games in all their forms for three days.
Family games, new releases, great classics, expert games, prototypes, role-playing games, collectible card games or even figurines: there is something for all tastes and all levels. More than 40 publishers and distributors have been announced to introduce their games to the public and accompany visitors in their first games.
This year, the theme of the festival is ” Dice Connexion”. The idea: to remind people that games can also be a way to get together around a table, to share, imagine and create memories together, without opposing board games and digital worlds.

What to do with the children at the Brussels Games Festival?
The Brussels Games Festival is not just for expert players. There are areas specially dedicated to families and children, with games suitable for different ages and the possibility of having the rules explained directly before starting a game
Test hundreds of games
During the three days, families can sit at the different tables of the festival and discover new products such as great classics presented by publishers, distributors, associations and clubs.
This is particularly practical with children: rather than buying a game without knowing if they will like it, you can discover and test it together before deciding.
Discover BGThèque
The BGThèque, organized this year with LUDO LUDO, allows you to freely borrow a game from a collection of nearly 500 titles, then to sit at a table to play on site.
LUDO LUDO also provides a play area for families with children, as well as various activities around the discovery of games.
Discover the games of tomorrow in the ProtoZone
The ProtoZone allows you to test games that are not yet on the market. For this 11th edition, 12 creators have been selected to present their prototypes to the public and collect players’ reactions.
A fun experience with children and teenagers : they can go behind the scenes of creating a game and give their opinion directly to the people who imagined it.
Take advantage of the Mini Gamers Area
Because the youngest don’t always want to stay around a gaming table, the Brussels Games Festival has a Mini Gamers area in store for them.
They will be able to find games, toys and a ball pit, to take a break between two games and enjoy the festival at their own pace.
Note: the presence of parents is mandatory while the children are enjoying this space.
The Night of the Game
The most motivated players will be able to extend the experience beyond the classic festival hours.
On Friday 28 August, a mini-night opening is offered from 8 pm to 0.30 am. On Saturday, the traditional Game Night starts at 6 pm and continues until 8 am on Sunday morning. The last entry to the site during the late nights is set for midnight.
The ticket for the corresponding day gives access to the night at no extra charge.
