Ballet of Lights: Cinderella, a fairy tale illuminated in Brussels

After presenting Peter Pan, Ballet of Lights returns to Brussels with a new adaptation of Cinderella. The famous fairy tale is revisited in the form of a ballet that is both classical and contemporary, carried by four dancers dressed in luminous costumes.

For about an hour, the artists tell the story of Cinderella through dance, light and color. Over the course of the choreographies, the illuminated costumes transform each movement and draw new forms on stage.

The show is accompanied by a repertoire composed of great classical works. An original way to introduce ballet to children, even when they have never seen a ballet performance before.

The team’s opinion

Ballet of Lights: Cinderella is a nice option to introduce ballet to children from 5 years old. The familiar Cinderella story, the bright costumes and the format of about an hour make the show easy to follow, even for young spectators who are not yet familiar with classical dance.

However, it should be borne in mind that this is not a great traditional ballet with a large corps de ballet and monumental sets. The show is based on four dancers, the choreographies and the effects produced by the luminous costumes.

The interest lies above all in the encounter between dance, classical music and light. As the seats are not numbered inside each zone, we advise you to arrive as soon as the doors open for more choice.

SEATING: Seats are not numbered. Spectators choose their seat according to their order of arrival, inside the area selected during the reservation.
LATE: No late entry is allowed after the start of the show.
ACCESSIBILITY: the hall and toilets are accessible to people with reduced mobility. In the hall, the accessible seats are on the floor, in the first fifteen rows and on the side of the corridors.
